Paint...Worth it ?

Just picked up a <span style="color:blue;font-size:large;">FREE</span> Mosley TA-33M tri band beam. It has some slight oxidation & I plan on cleaning it with scotchbrite pads. Would it be worth painting to keep from oxidizing again? What long lasting paint would you suggest? Too bad a friend no longer works at a powder coating shop.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT="">

clear acrylic should work fine

Friend of mine had a Predator 10K powder coated black, to match his new truck...never could get the swr back down below 1.5! <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon5.gif ALT="5"> It now sit's in the corner of his garage.



But it did look cool....
