I have rediscovered my old, old Palm PDA (actually, a handspring). At least it has Palm OS 3.5, which will run most applications. Ever since it was given to me, I wondered what the heck would it be good for. It's now found some utility in Ham radio!

I've found the following software:

eggsham - the entire Tech/General/Extra question pool testing software
HRR - ham radio reference, which includes a calander of ARRL events and several calculators. This is definately a 10 rating.

There are a host of applications available, some for APRS and various rig control apps., most of which can be found on Ham radio palm OS programs : Software: PalmOS

I am on the hunt to collexct as many as I can. One I'm interested in is a filter calculator, but requires purchase, so I am looking for freeware.

Any cool finds?

Cool!

Actually, I found a bunch of stuff. There are a couple of pay apps that look interesting. One is the electrist. Anyway, this jsut seemed to be a quicker way for some things, such as logs.

OK, expanding to HW/SW solutions. I kinda want one:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
