Frogman, got to your local RadioShack and check out the RadioShack swr/power meter. They are very accurate and take a brutal beating mobile - and cheap. I paid $39.95 for mine a while back. They show swr, avg and peak watts and are fairly small too. They also go up to a 2000 watt scale. This meter is as good as any Dosy, Workman or similar meter out there and alot less money.

my local radio shack has taken out all their electronic parts (resistors and the such) to make room for the christmas toys and the SWR meter went out with the parts i guess cause they didnt have them. Plus i can get that meter for 14.50+shipping off of ebay
They aren't too bad.
I have heard good things about the Rat Shack meter but I have no experience with them.
