Parabolic trough relfector for a vertical dipole

Is there any rule about how far the dipole needs to be from the reflector, or can it be within inches if that is where the focal point is?

If it is a true parabolic reflector, it needs to be right at the focal point. I can't see it making much difference however due to the wavelength if you are talking about 11m. Going to LOTS of spill over.

I drew it on solidworks just now and realized the dimensions get impractical very fast. Not sure what I was thinking.
