I recently purchased a bunch of radios from an estate sale. One of them is a Pearce Simson Pirate. I am at a loss trying to find something about this radio especially a wiring schematic. It came with no mike and no power cord. It is a cute little radio and I would like to put power to it to see if it works. I owned a Simba back in the 70s and it was a good radio but I know nothing about this one.
By the way, I am not a cb tech and know little about the inside workings of the radios.

Any help would be great.

The only info I found was that the Pirate was a mobile 23Ch PLL AM radio. Other Pearce Simpson radios that fit that broad description are the following.

Bobcat 23C, Cougar 23B, Puma 23, Puma23B, and the Tiger 23C

Inside and outside photos may tell me more, particularly the PLL number. Pearce Simpson patterned a number of early models (cir. 1975) after the O2A Cybernet board. If you post photos, it's possible to find a similar clone. At any rate, finding out how to power and wire a mic should be easy for any tech.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
