I’ve been fooling with a yaesu that’s been giving me fits over the receive sensitivity. It only affected the 10, 12, 17 bands. It still had rx but unless I ran the preamp it was super low. Figured I had blown it. Instead of looking into it I felt super lazy because I figured it was all smd. Priced sending it off and it just wasn’t worth it to me.
Grabbed my schematic and tore the cover off. Look at that, the front end diode pair had one of them blown. And that board wasnt smd after all. Should’ve looked at it sooner. Threw in a new diode and bam.

I was looking for a Kenwood TS-2000, but ended up with this one when one of the local clubs was selling off stuff from a SK.
