Hi all I am looking at an HF rig thats forsale for fixing or for extra parts for the one I have now. The guy said he was on 20 meters then the electricity went out and the radio never came on again??? WHAT do some of you think??? its a Yaesu FT-840
the power to the radio is switched through a 10amp double pole relay inside the pa block, check the relay is switching and applying voltage to test point 5002, if you have voltage there the relay is doing its job, good luck...
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
