Thought i'd stick one of my President Adams up for general perusal.
This was purchased around 2012/13 as a basic Adams and was sent over to Austria for the work carried out by Gerhard Maurer at Funkservice.at. Back then he hadn't got round to doing the frequency display that came a little later but he did do the FM, Extra Bands, 5 & 10K shift and the Beep.
I wanted to do a Black Adams and to my knowledge at the time only 1 other person had went down that road with the same Maurer kit.
I had a spare very ropey Adams chassis and facia, the facia had a square hole for a 3 section rotary encoder and I had the Adams normal facia with no changes on the Maurer but nothing read correctly etc due to the mods. So began my entry into decals & spraying.
Also had a cracked Perspex window that was replaced from the donor.
I got the Decals done by Gamma-Ray Graphics in Washington State at the time.
Below in order is the donor facia and a hint of that spare chassis with the rotary encoder along with the rub down of the facia, spraying and new decals.
