President Dwight D CB Base Station

Here is a video showing the number for the timer to get the gears from. I have done this in the past, and the last timer I bought about 7 years ago cost me $7.95 from eBay. Just remember the clock runs on 120vac, so when the radio is plugged in the clock has 120v to it.

Thank you for the info! Dan

Yes Google it. Its those ac timers you use for like lamps and such. I bought mine at Home Depot but they are sold everywhere. Fixed both my Madison clocks. Open it up and use the gear to replace the bad one in the base clock.

Did you have to remove the clock to do it?

No. Just removed the backplate of the clock. Small needle nose plyers did the rest. Hardest part was listening to my wife grumble as I tore open the brand new timer to steal the gear out
Thats good news... Not the wife grumbliing...lol Dan

I removed the back plate and removed the gears... The gear with the oil thingy was mush. Waiting for my timer I ordered to arrive... Dan

I did notice after removing the gears that I couldn't see any of the shafts turning when power was supplied... Is that good or not? I also noticed that there was a lamp going back into the middle of the clock, I guess to light up the 2 dots that separate the hours from the minute that wasn't lit up...

Clock/gears should be turning when power is applied (cord plugged into outlet). I believe the clock lamp voltage is from the power supply. Seems like ac not getting to the clock or power supply.

Upon further inspection of the circuit boards I found that the power board is missing 4 diodes (D201 to D204)... Radio receives so don't know what purpose they serve... Help please. Pic below...

Either they are under the board, or theres a diode bridge bolted to the heatsink somewhere. Sorry but normally no diodes, no dc brother. Got a pic of the bottom side of the chassis? You just stated rx is ok. So there must be something somewhere supplying 12v dc to the board.
