Next trick is figuring out why the mysterious Lincoln II+ has poor audio on strong local SSB signals. It sounds great on distant stations. Before that one guy always chimes in with the obvious, about turning down the gain, that ain't it.

There is an adjuster, W6 on the board labeled SSBANL, but that looks in the manual like it's for transmit. Any ideas?

In the menus, there's an option for rSSlts. Guessing this is recieved signal strength "something". Could TS refer to a "table" used for gain control? AM sounds good local or dx. Not sure about FM.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
