Next trick is figuring out why the mysterious Lincoln II+ has poor audio on strong local SSB signals. It sounds great on distant stations. Before that one guy always chimes in with the obvious, about turning down the gain, that ain't it.
There is an adjuster, W6 on the board labeled SSBANL, but that looks in the manual like it's for transmit. Any ideas?
In the menus, there's an option for rSSlts. Guessing this is recieved signal strength "something". Could TS refer to a "table" used for gain control? AM sounds good local or dx. Not sure about FM.
