President Madison Direct Inject

I see a lot of info on cobra 2000s but nothing on the Madison.

Has anyone direct injected and if so how'd it go? Is it worth doing or is it better to run an inline EQ such as UR6QW's? If you direct inject, can you run the UR6QW 8 band EQ w/o rack gear?

Direct injecting a Madison is the exact same as injecting a 2000. Both need line level audio. Normally UR6QW/W2IHY types of audio equipment run at mic level into the stock mic preamp of the radio via the front mic jack. That in turn get amplified to line level and can drive the stock modulator section. You need to either use line level for direct inject or widen the capacitors in the mic section of the Madison to utilize the UR6QW EQ
