New to CB. I got a new PRESIDENT MCKINLEY USA SSB in a trade. It was never used but when I talk on Sideband it's off frequency. No problem broadcasting on AM. Moving the clarity back and forth does nothing.

PRESIDENT MCKINLEY USA SSB new out of the Box issues

The clarifier will only help you in the receive unless the clarifier is unlocked. ( not from the factory ) I had the same problem with my McKinley strait out of the box it was off frequency. Took 2 radio shops before President sent me a new radio. The first radio repair identified a bad part in the SSB circuit and then President radio had me send it to their shop who recommended they send me a new radio. Good Luck with your frustration because I understand the pain. Seems like quality control is out the window anymore.
