A friend gave me an old P300. It's dirty, works, and appears to be untouched internally. The SSB appears to be aligned. The question is, what about this radio? Good, bad, junk, ok? What can it be made to do? Any performance potential?
The only thing I've found on it online is the tuning vr's or "L" pots.
Thanks

what PLL chip does it have in it?

i think those are an MB8719 chassis.

if that is the case, then, yes, it is a very good radio worth keeping and fixing up.
good luck,
LC

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
