just for those interested, if you dig into OTVDM or VINEVDM (i had better luck with otvdm), you can enable 16 bit applications to run on a 64bit system. I was running both the old and new CPS for a m1225 on windows 7 using otvdm using a usb serial adapter. Been so long that I can hardly remember doing it, but I know it works.
I was just talking to chatGPT about using otvdm files with wine in linux and, although completely irrelevant, it referenced my post here. I was kinda surprised to see it reference me. Never figured that would happen lol
Edit to add: With all the other far more relevant material available online that it could have referenced, it does kinda weird me out a little. Its on a dot-connecting mission.
