Does anyone get a pulse type interference on channel 30 when the skip is in?, no skip the pulse is gone

doctor :(

I don't have a definite answer for you, but I have heard the same phenomenon on occasion, and usually in the higher channels (30-40). I don't hear it all the time when there's skip, as you do, however. What I've heard mainly is what sounds like pulse bursts, changing in phase or duty cycle, somewhat similar to the demodulated audio I once heard from a Radio Shack "high-end" RC truck (one of their $100.00+ jobs). It was a 27mhz signal, with some kind of pulse width or pulse phase modulation on a couple different audio frequencies. Whether you're hearing something similr, I don't know.

If you mean longer duration pulses, kinda like a thrumming sound, it might be diathermy. These are medical devices that use pulsed, HF radio waves, to induce deep tissue heating. Used to hear them all the time in the 60's and 70's.

Ignition noise is also, pulse interference, so not sure what you are hearing.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
