Pyramid ps36kx going into protection mode

ps36kx going into protection mode when turned on. +/- short. Protection diode is ok but it appears there is a short to ground with a transistor. I cannot find anything in this transistor on the net.

Looking to replace this transistor

That's an SCR, 400V @16A. I replaced mine with an NTE5556, which is 600V @ 25A. Give that a try, or you can find a direct replacement on Ebay or your favorite parts distributor, such as Mouser or Digikey. Good luck.
