This mod will no longer allow uhf vhf operation because the passband is now 10-11 meters.
But for a $25 handheld.....
Not FCC approved for cb, you can just listen right?

I've seen that now. Using the same model number for both the 1600 and 2200. There are a pair of 2200's on Amazon for like $47 .... heh heh more than the radio cost.
Sent email seeing if still available. Missed this notice earlier but still a reasonable deal at $145 regular price.
