Question about an ft-857

I just picked up one of these, awesome! I have some knowledge on export radios but this is my first ham radio.

I notice on am there is no forward modulation swing on my external meter, Is this normal?

I think what he means to tell you is depending on the country you live in transmitting on 11 meter with that radio may be illegal so please consult your local laws before doing so again that is IF you are operating on 11 meter as your post has not mentioned it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT="">



I hear alot of great audio on 75 meter AM and even the collins net on 10 meter AM
