are there linears that can take the regular wattage out put of a stock radio? or do they all need to be opened up and turned down to 1-2 watts?

if you have a Galaxy DX radio, they have a power level on the front face which turns them down to about 2 watts (at least the last 3 I had). That power is still alittle high for most amps.

Dont turn it lower than 2 watts or your radio will sound like shit on AM when you run barefoot. I know some guys like to turn their radios lower than 1 watt but that is getting near going single sideband...

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
