Question on a Grant XL vs DX959

Well since I already had the 959 pulled, I installed the Grant to see what happens. I also reinstalled my center mount that I had removed...but somehow lost my Aries meter, guess I stored it too well?

When I swing by the shop again, I'll have him double check it.
 
Hmmm, interesting finding: the Grant will more easily close the relay on SSB than the 959, its actually easier to use...what's up with that?

I got good reports today, no SSB action though. I did not have time to hook up a meter before I left, so it'll have to wait until I get home.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
