Hello everyone. What kind of range could you get tranmitting ssb with a 450 watt amp on a mobile radio with everything set up properly? Would it be possible to hit the skip? I ask these questions to find out if I want to purchase an export or continue as I am. Thanks in advance...

This is very true, also keep in mind doubling your power doesn't make you "twice as strong", it's simply an increase of 3db, which equals out to 1/2 of an "S" unit on the other guy's end.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
