Had to step back. The external plate xfrmr project was causing me anxiety. Scrapped the notion of trying to use a 2nd AC outlet. Got tired of replacing fuses and it's not a good idea. Connecting the Ext primary to the Soft Start module is best. It eliminates the power-on sequence issue. Got tired of needing to re-learn circuit each time I plugged it in. Ordered a panel mount, 2 pin socket with cover and matching plug for Ext Primary. Coming on the slow boat from ... but I need a few months for something else anyway. Next radio effort will be replacing my coax with RG213 and adding the COR to amp. I need another plate choke sooner or later because 20 meters is impossible to tune even into a DL.

I've been tuning the CW Beacons lately and learned my Receive really sucks. It's like a 100w isn't what it used to be. Diet RF. I was late to the Beacon resource. Gotta be my coax it's RG8 from the 1980's but my vswrs are ok and I got some height. I'll find out soon. Sometimes the HF bands are so quiet I feel like HF went the way of the pager. Memory scan covers the fav freqs so fast it's almost like FT8 where a Control Operator is no longer needed. Setup a printer and read about it next month.

Soon, got too much stuff, gotta move some out make room.
