Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

I want to follow up with the forum on this post.
Radioddity had me return the radio for a warranty replacement unit. They just sent me the tracking number for the new unit on the way.

So I would say that they back these radios for sure.
Wow! That's great publicity.

Both my QT80 and Quad6PRO made 80+ watts SSb out of the box. I know they can be forced to do more, but I don't want to push them. I'm using them (15WPeak) to drive a TX250 amp into an 8-pill HOTPLATE. Usually run the setup at 800W peak. It will do almost 2KW, but I don't need more. I was running my TX600 at 550W peak when it blew a transistor, so I'm not gonna push this setup. I figure if I can't make the trip with 800, any more probably won't help. 73

Smart decision to keep the power low.
Several weeks back I was fortunate to have an uninterrupted (radio test) conversation with an operator in Lubbock, TX. 1st test: Stryker 955HPC+ driving a four-pill base amp with Colossal 10K base antenna. Average PEP watts was 850 watts. He told me I was "blowing smoke" and in the "strawberry patch". He had taken a five-minute break and when he was on his break I changed-out my equipment. 2nd test: Stryker 955HPC+ driving a two-pill base amp, driving a ten-pill amp with the Colossal 10K base antenna with 1800 PEP watts. When he returned, I did not tell him that I had changed-out my equipment and I asked if my signal changed. Same report as test #1. Blowing-smoke and in the strawberry patch. When I told him I changed-out my equipment, he looked very close to his meter. Maybe two S units increase.
