I just bought a Radioddity QT40. I will use it between my RV and as a base station at home. Any thoughts, pluses or minuses? It will arrive Saturday.
I have had one a few years now. I don't use it often, but when I do, I am amazed at how well it works and what it would have been like, to have something like it 40 years ago.I just bought a Radioddity QT40. I have said this before on this forum. I have ALL of the Radioddity 10m SSB radios. There is some mojo going on in the QT-40 receiver. Let's forget about the cost, which is undeniably cheap, for what it is. It really has a nice receiver and the feature set, simply blows everything else in its class away. It looks like a CB radio, which has the old school cool factor, which is why I got it to begin with. Then you start playing with all it can do, while you are faced with a 148GTL, Grant Xl, Superstar 3900 looking thing, with lots of freq coverage, programmable roger beeps, noise reduction, frequency display (it uses the channel display 2 digits at a time), yadda yadda.Thanks....
Thanks, my main antenna is a Sirio vector 4000.Nice looking set-up. Thanks for all information. I then saw the QT60 & QT80, but I'll play around with this radio first for a while. What kind of antenna do you use with the QT40?
