Any members had any good reports of the radio in general use and also build quality , which isn’t great now compared to older units but I do like the display on these Newer models I’m considering buying a 2950 Dx 6

I have the older Ranger 2950 DX and they are very stable on SSB, I also have a color display Ranger 2995DXCF base station and the newer displays are nice,I have not used the newer 2950 DX 6 however!!!!
Don’t see to many used for sale so they must be keepers
I have a DX6, purchased second hand from a member here. Works great, no complaints. This is my first Ranger radio of this style, so I can't compare it to any of the older ones. The extra power comes in handy though.
I've never owned a 29XX series ranger radio but I can say that I've never heard a negative thing about one. Matter of fact, I've talked to many on ssb and they've always earned flowers in my reply.

Have had the old orange face flavors 2950s & 70s.. had an 2950dx and sold it (fail.. should've kept it) and now run a 2950cd in my pickup. They have been a solid ssb 10/11 meter rig for 25+ years. They could use a cleaner receiver and they are not screaming AM monsters stock.. but they work ok. I just like the layout and am used to it. I am much more of a fan of running a 2950 into an external amp than running a built in amp 29xx series rig.
