has anyone here that’s owned a ranger RCI 2950 DX ever installed an RFX 75 to the rear of the radio what were the Benefits extra power , and also time to carry out install the issue with this radio is it lacks output power

It may be possible, but it would be a waste of time. 2950 puts out 25 watts stock, and the RFX75 puts out 75 watts (max). That's just a little more than a half S unit increase on the receive end.
In other words, a whole bunch of work with almost nothing to show for it!
Remember, it takes a four times power increase for a 1 S unit increase on a receiver. That may be an almost worthwhile increase for local communication, but wouldn't even be noticeable on DX where there is always fading anyways.
The RFX does just one thing well. It overheats and fails. You can turn down the radio a bit and hold the RFX temperature to a safe level. But the reduced power will make the effort a total waste of time.
There was a kit with two tiny fans that would fit the RFX being sold for a while, but BC is right. The S-meter at the other end won't be boosted by more than one S-unit more or less. Seems like a lot of effort for just one more number on someone's S-meter.
The RFX was a toy that appealed to folks who thought that a receiver's S-meter responds like the wattmeter in line with your radio.
It doesn't.
