i recently bought a ray jefferson model 987 it rescieves but it has problems transcieving if i put in the freqency on my scanner and i try transcieving with the ray jefferson when you press the pit button push to talk button it says its transceiving. but the scanner only makes a sh noise right when you press the button. so i was thinking it only makes that noise because its send a signal out but the microphone must be bad and also the top row of buttons dont work so you can use tham. how do you think i could fix it. and how much would it cost for a cheap mic. please help
