I am using a back up radio for the fun of it and while checking dead key I noticed while I set my dead key at five watts and then rechecked it after calibration I was at 6 watts and then it suddenly dropped back to 5 watts while keyed with no modulation at all.Not real sure what up?

RCI 2950 dead key problem

It's all wide open on the mic gain and fully keyed.It will drop if after it sits here in iddle for a few minutes and I go to key up and check things over and stay keyed for about 15 seconds and it goes from 6 watts to 5 watts with no modulation and it seems to do it sooner with each key up.
Dead key = no modulation.
Turn the mic gain all the way down first; then key the mic and check for dead key watts.

It turns out that it had to do with the issues I was having with my Imax and coax,all is good now!Thank you for the info.
