RCI 2950 (Non DX) AM Troubles

I have a RCI 2950 (Old Style Non DX) that is not working properly on AM.

SSB works fine, but when the radio is placed into AM Mode, the radio deadkeys around 30 watts and I have no modulation.

I replaced the 2SB754 AM regulator with a brand new one I had in my parts bin. It did not eliminate the problem.

Last night this radio was working OK on AM but seemed to be having troubles maintaining a proper deadkey. I didn't have it on a meter at the time, but judging from the meter on the radio it was fluctuating even without being modulated.

The variable power is also not functioning on AM but appears to be working correctly on SSB

Anyone have any ideas?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
