RCI 2950 (old version) fault

Hi,

I have a RCI2950 that PLL isn't locking after switch on. If I turn the mode selector it locks straight away but just left untouched it will whistle & pop until it locks up a couple of minutes later.

This happens in any mode its set to on switch on.

Any ideas?
 

Maybe the mode switch is going bad or dirty, Frequency switch will do weird stuff when it goes bad skips frequencys, channels...

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
