That is the weather alert doing it. Will do it turning it on. Do you have the alert switch on or off. Nothing to worry about.

alright thanks for the information , the weather alert is off and it still flashes , but its a great radio and is working fine.

Mine does the same thing, And I also noticed the weather channels don't work...Meter pegs like it's receiving weather stations, but no sound...everything else seems fine tho.
My radio has did this several times. I think it was a bad jumper because when I connected the antenna directly to the radio it stopped blinking.
