ok i have an rci 2980wx and i cant figure out why the green rx/tx light flashes all the time?? thanks.

That is the weather alert doing it. Will do it turning it on. Do you have the alert switch on or off. Nothing to worry about.

alright thanks for the information , the weather alert is off and it still flashes , but its a great radio and is working fine.

Mine did it when I put a Low Pass TVI filter, filters 0 - 30 MHz. Weather band is way above 30 MHz.

Mine does the same thing, And I also noticed the weather channels don't work...Meter pegs like it's receiving weather stations, but no sound...everything else seems fine tho.

Okay Thanks must be a normal design glitch in the RCI 2980 WX.

My radio has did this several times. I think it was a bad jumper because when I connected the antenna directly to the radio it stopped blinking.
