I was wondering if anyone knows what the AM modulation limiter transistor is in the RCI 2990 base?? I do not want to remove the Q32 because it causes a loud snap in the key up of the radio if it is removed. I only want to remove the AM modulation limiter resistor. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have been searching everywhere.

Thank you

instead of removing the amc, turn it up and add a base mic like a d104 or tuner plus 3, you will be loud and cleaner, not to mention you will still sound good on ssb

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
