Ok here we go. Just upgraded to a Mean Well 50 amp power supply. Works fantastic. Now when I turn the radio off and then back on memory is lost and display shows 24000 Mhz. So what gives? Is there a battery that saves the memory from the last time the radio was turned on? If there is no battery how does this work? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

It is a well known issue with the newer 2995 DX HP. Mine always reverts to 27.250 Some retailers send back the affected batch to Ranger and others didn’t…I was out of luck with mine.

Minor but very annoying. It should be covered by Rangers warranty though but shipping is the issue for me being in the U.K.

No easy fix as far as I am aware. Only the retail shop would have had to send the faulty radios back to Ranger and they in return would have had sent a new batch of radios to the retailer. Some did, some obviously didn’t.
