Anyone know where to find a schematic for this radio? I know there similar radios, but I haven't found anything specifically on the ept990013b board.
Been out of the hobby for a few years and the forums I used back then seem dead. So, this is my first post here.
The problem I'm trying to solve with the radio is that it has no forward power on AM, it has audio, but was told by the owner that on air reports said it was low, I went through alignment, biased, everything seemed OK other than the am modulation pot made no difference, a lot of the board is smt, I haven't noticed (or missed) a limiter being removed.
The regulator screwed to the chassis seemed to be running warmer than normal.
Other than that I haven't had a chance to dig in much further, I'm in the process of digging out and setting up the rest of my test equipment.
The owner said it came from a radio shop, and the tech was swapping parts trying to fix a problem that was supposedly fixed by replacing the coax pigtail.
I've already repaired a few other radios from the same tech, maybe I should give thanks for the business, and bringing me out of retirement lol.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
