No doubt! I heard the original wasn't the best, by far. They were also having issues during shipping, causing frequency counter issues.

With the "Big Box" base stations you get nice big meters, nice front firing speaker, lots more switches and knobs, built in power supply, rack handles. Just a nice big good looking radio.
If I could just decide on one radio and not keep switching around, it would be perfect.
But like Undertaker, and a lot of us, we keep trying different radios. I don't know if it's the hunt or just grass is greener syndromes.
I likes em all, and lucky to have an XYL that grew up with this stuff and allows me to indulge.

So it's a 69 base plus. I was searching for 6900 base plus. Good looking radio. Not too many new base radio options these days.
