The "DX" series of RCI radios, 2950DX, 2970DX, 2995DX all use the same main "EPT6950" series circuit boards. The length of the roger beep can be too short to suit some users. Makes it more of a roger "BIP" than a beep. The capacitor that controls the length of the beep is C169, a 2.2uf monolithic ceramic capacitor. A surface mount part, mind you. To lengthen the beep, just make it larger. Easier solution is to scab an additional capacitor in parallel with the factory cap. I do not recommend removing the original cap.

The circuit board doesn't have the callout printed next to this cap. And since it's a ceramic cap, no polarity is marked. Any part that's convenient to use will be an electrolytic like the 10uf part seen here. Polarity is as you see it, negative towards the outside of the radio.

You may want to just hold the leads of a new cap up against the solder pads and try it that way before soldering it. I have no guidance to offer about how long a particular value will make the beep.

Your mileage may vary.
