RCI8719 sub for MB8719?

Can’t seem to get a straight answer on this. Can you use the RCI8719 chip in place of the “classic” MB8719 chip in a Cobra chassis?

You can, but it's not modifiable like the original.
What's up? Do you have a bad PLL?

It works in a 148 GTL. But real ones are all over e bay. I have bought them from China and they have been real.

I thought I did so I bought one. Turns out it’s not that so I was deciding whether to keep it or sell it. But wasn’t sure what to say if someone asks me that because I have a feeling someone will because you can’t find any 8719s out there anymore unless you buy the China ones or pilfer an old radio.
