Hi, I have a Realistic TRC-446. It powers up with the weather side working fine, but the CB side is dead. The Tx/Rx light is off (NOT green) while in receive, turns red when I key the mike. The needle never moves, even when attempting SWR calibration. I get a good "thunk" when I switch ACE on and off, otherwise nearly silent. With volume on full, I have a bit of hum which disappears when I turn up the squelch just a bit. Any suggestions? Thanks.

look inside n check the so239 connection first.

Found this on another forum "
The trc-446 is made by MAXON & is essentially a Maxon MCB-100WXD with cosmetic
differences. The internal board design is NOTHING like any Uniden , Cobra or
Ranger CB radio. These models are well built, but don't "peak up" well &
aren't able to "do" xtra channels. A Uniden 76/78 or Cobra 29 is a much better
radio"
I don't know how factual it is though.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
