Back then I was even less knowledgeable about antennas and radio than I am now. It worked okay. I usually broke it out after driving up to Perkins Drive on Bear Mtn near West Point, NY. That picture was taken on the old family farm outside of Cooperstown NY. That hill in the background had a USGS marker that said 1927 feet above sea level. Truth be told the Wilson 1000 on the roof probably worked better!
