I tried it and screwed it up. It's not as easy as it seemed. That mod looks great though, President should have done it that way from the start.
Now I'm looking for a dead Lincoln 2 I can hopefully use the radio head to replace mine.
Thank you sir for that info. I suspected that it would be difficult to do. Not sure if I would even attempt it. Agree completely that President should have made them that way, IMO it's much easier to read that way. Hope you can restore yours, if I come across a dead one I'll let you know.

Buy polarized screen and turn it 90 degrees. Did it on my 2510
My buddy down the road from me has been splitting the screen sandwich & reversing the polarising filter in handies, lincolns, emperors & icom 706mk2g's for many years,
yes its tricky you can crease the film or break the screen, looks good but I would not risk it myself.
