I doubt you have a problem with the radio. You have a problem (most likely) with current supply. When using the amp, the most hungry wolf will get the most food

You have a power supply and a battery charger running from the same outlet right? Still could be a current problem, but this time AC

I guess you fixed it. 47 contacts! Not bad for a broke radio, hehehe.

Way to go 443!

Okay, this is messing me up in the contest, I can't run my big amp because it causes the 2950 to beep at me and the screen flickers. All power connections are good, only have this problem with this radio. It even does it sometimes with just a 2 pill behind it. It does it pretty bad on SSB and extremely bad on AM with any amplifier attached to it.

Works great by itself barefoot. Is this a common problem with 2950's? If so I would be glad to hear of any possible fix for it. I have some ferrite beads if that will help.

BTW: When it blinks and beeps it causes my signal to get choppy. Power supply is 2 heavy duty batteries in parallel with a charger (I know I'm poor okay...). It only gives me problems with this radio. Also I am using full size 16 gauge power wire for the 2950, should be plenty of amps just for the radio, the amps are using 8 guage. The lights aren't dimming very bad at all while it is "chopping up", the display is just flashing, and the radio is making a beep or kind of a fart sound from the internal piezo or whatever speaker.
