Rg316 or Rg400 1' jumpers

I'm looking for some insight on using these type of coax for shack jumpers. I'm currently using rg8x for jumpers between radio and amp as well as other locations but have been looking at these thinner cables. Specs show rg316 or rg400 to be ok at short runs but I've never used either. It's stiff but looks nice for 1 foot runs.

Opinions or suggestions on these 2 types?

Rg400 is decent coax . I've used as much as18 feet on my quad mag mount. For jumpers should be fine .check the wattage rating on the coax . And never use 1 foot jumpers way too short ..I recommend 6 foot or 9 foot.i 've seen high defect going back to the radio with shorter than 6 foot jumpers

I replaced all the 8x jumpers in my shack a while back with Jefa 240 flex. The regular 400 is too stiff to use for short jumpers, over 10 feet it is workable, but short jumpers, I wouldn't.

I've never used jumpers that long, 3 foot at the longest and 1 foot have always worked for me.

The question was about rg316 or rg400 and I'll take your advice on the rg400, I was kinda leaning towards that one a little more.

I like that 240 but I'm trying to get down to thinner cable for space reasons. I've worked a little with the rg400 (not talking about lmr) but never have with rg316 and they are definitely smaller to work with.

The 240 flex has a quarter inch diameter. I missed the RG part on the 400, had LMR stuck on the brain.

I use RG8(not rg8x) for jumpers. RG8 is nice and flexible for jumpers and because I use solder crimp connectors, the larger coax makes a tight crimp on the ground shield. RGx being a thinner diameter doesn't make as solid of a crimp so that's why I don't use it.

As for all those specs on coax cables, it is insignificant for short jumper lengths.
