Royce 1-678

[Swag Boy]

I got an old Royce 1-678 40 ch radio, and the radio powers up, but has no tx or rx. I have opened it up nd everything looks intact, nothing fried or cut or anything, and i have tried 3 different mics, but nothing happens. Just the meter lights up.

Anyone got any ideas?

What kind of mike did you try on this? This royce radio used a different wiring than most other radios.Cobra wont work and a few Midlands will work. Heres the wiring in case anyone needs it.



1. Audio

2.Ground/common

3.Transmit

4.Recieve.

This also works on some Ray jefferson radios,RangerAR3500,

several Robyns, and a few other scarce radios.
