ROYCE 642 HARD TO MOD?

The Royce's are just a pain to work on becasue of the modular vertical construction. To it well and quickly you need to make jumpers if you where going to do a lot of them. You have to take each card out to recap etc...They are nicely made just not the most friendly radio to work on. The Mocat's are not nice to work on either.

A local has one and it sounds amazing on AM. It sounds like a tube radio. It’s honestly awesome.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
