rs232 PCI card

I know they make adapters to go usb but has anyone tried something like this for there radios or scanners....

If you have an empty slot in your computer, it will work just fine. Wish I had that empty slot.

I have 2 computers where I have installed cards like this. One is a 4 port, the other is a 2 port. They both work perfectly and I had no problems with installing them.

Awesome, I read up on rs232 ports and how there still uses on expencive equipment and that there better than usb because usb only provides 5v+/- and long usb runs have voltage drop as to rs232 long runs are appreceated.

And tho the speed may not be as fast as USB 2.0 it still is more stable and user friendly. Im going to order the pci card tonight since its only $5 thats a deal !!!
