Running 2 antennas for SWL

I’m new to SWL. I recently bought a Tecsun S-2200x. I’m slowly learning the radio, but I haven’t heard too much using the radio’s two internal antennas. Based on reviews, I have a Deshibo WV-601 loop antenna (10 khz – 999 mhz claimed) arriving today and will install this weekend. I live in the city on a small 80’ x 160’ lot, with several power lines over about half of the back part of the property. I wanted to do an external end fed long wire, but could not run it straight enough, or high enough as recommended without getting too near the power lines. I have a clear spot for the loop and I can get it 20 feet high. I’m hoping it will get some reception on most of the HF bands. The radio has a switch for internal/external antennas. For SW antenna connections, it has a BNC connection for a 50 ohm antenna (the loop), and a bare wire connection for a 500 ohm antenna (long wire with no balun I assume?). I was thinking of running a long wire around the perimeter of my roof as an experiment to compare reception to the loop, as I have plenty of suitable wire. My question is, can I have both antennas attached while the radio’s antenna switch is on “external” or should I disconnect one or the other? Thanks in advance.
