just bought me a new s9 to play with. whats everybody seeing for power on these? i run mostly ssb and it seems the power is centered around the cb band more than 27.4650 where i talk.
If the power is best right in the middle of the 11 m band then your radio was properly tuned and converted.......if you plan on using it on the c.b. channels. Un-tuned these radio's work best in the 10 M area since that is what they are sold as, 10m export radio's.
As far as the power numbers, hard to say. I see alot of big numbers thrown around but have never seen one actually do the claimed wattage ( 45-50 ).
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
