As previously mentioned... I really like my S9-175...

I recently stumbled across a Magnum S6-80 with the 2SC1969 finals for sale at a very good price. I was not in the market for another radio but with the 1969 finals I thought why not.

If this radio would have had the mosfets ... I would have passed. It seems like when you are not in the market for a radio ... that is when you stumble across these type of deals that you can't pass up.

This radio is in like new condition and came with the original box, mic, manual etc.

Life is good

I am trying to remember here, I thought all the 80 watt version "S" series radio's were one erf2030 driving two erf2030 finals. So is yours using a 1969 as a driver? Or is it a dual final 1969? If it is dual 1969 it's probably not an 80 watt version. If they did do a pre mosfet 680 what is the final arrangement? Ya got me curious now. Thanks.

I see what looks like "4"-- 2030's at the back of the radio on the circuit board. I thought this might have the 2SC1969 but looks like it doesn't so.... are the 2030's a good set up. By the way I normally never go past 60-70% on the power knob.
